Jesella Gardens and U.S. Polymers Inc.

About Jesella Gardens

Jesella Gardens is a family owned and operated boutique cannabis cultivation facility located in Edmond, OK. They’re known for their years of growing experience as well as high-quality products. All of their plants are grown in indoor grow facilities to ensure the best control of humidity, moisture, and light for producing superior cannabis products.

The Challenge

Jesella Gardens was expanding their operations and needed to construct two 4,000-square-foot indoor grow houses. With high product expectations from their commercial and dispensary partners, they were looking for wall panels that would protect their crops, be easy to clean, and remain maintenance-free after installation. Being experienced growers, they knew that cannabis grow room walls need to control the humidity and moisture levels to counteract the growth of bacteria, mold, and microbes. With a high demand for their product, they also needed a wall option that they could install quickly without needing to hire skilled laborers, a process that would require multiple installation steps.

The Solution

Jesella Gardens spent many hours researching different wall options including price, quality, ease of installation, longevity, and the specific properties needed to optimize growing conditions. Often grow rooms are not well-lit and the medicinal herbs need proper lighting for good growth. Duramax’s bright white, light-reflective panels were a big draw because it eliminated the need to apply 2-3 coats of paint to get the same result. The panels distribute light equally and eliminate the need to install extra light-emitting devices contributing to major energy savings in the long run.

“I’ve been in drywall my entire career and I couldn’t believe how easy the panels were to install and how quickly everything came together,” said Chris Miller, Jesella Gardens. “I can’t tell you how many people we’ve already recommended Duramax too for their indoor grow house operations.”

The Duramax Difference

MJBiz Daily recently published that only 24.4% of businesses in the U.S. cannabis sector claim to be profitable, according to a new report by Oregon-based cannabis data and research company Whitney Economics, further underlining the industry's struggles. With so many different wall options out there, it can be overwhelming for cannabis growers to find cost-effective options that have a good return on investment.

“We did the math and determined that for an extra $9,000 compared to another wall option, we saved $20,000 on labor alone,” said Chris Miller, Jesella Gardens. “Better yet is that we won’t ever have to replace it and we’re super happy with how the panels came together and how they look inside the grow house.”
