Description: Mick moved into his brand new house in Helena, MT and had so much room that his garage was basically empty. He decided to make use of his garage by turning it into a workshop and lounge. He wanted a modern design and decided to go for Duramax's seamless walling surface. He liked how easy it was to install these panels and wanted to make it his own project. After measuring out the dimensions of his garage, he ordered online and waiting about 1 and a 1/2 weeks for the product to arrive. Installation took about 2 weeks as Mick was working over the weekends only. The results looked fantastic and Mick was able to successfully finish this project in under a month by himself.

Description: Aaron makes his living as a full-time carpenter, part-time craftsman. He’ll tell you that the former is how the bills get paid, but the latter is his passion. Many items of furniture, sculptures, and tools have left his woodworking bench over the years. It remains in the corner of his garage, to the left of his Honda Prius when it rains, though the car usually remains outside. After some time working in his makeshift garage workshop, Aaron decided to upgrade it to a bonafide workstation.

The walls were the first item on the list of upgrades since the garage still had the basic wooden frames and drywall from the original construction. He had already seen moisture causing problems in the wood, which became an even bigger problem considering Aaron must often leave wood pieces sitting around as they were completed. Not only did Aaron need seamless walls to prevent moisture from ruining tools and pieces, but he also needed to make sure the room temperatures didn’t get too hot or cold. Either extreme could have damaging effects on his crafts.

We installed Duramax PVC panels in the walls and ceiling of Aaron’s entire garage. The result was a uniform off-white facility that really captured his desire for a creative space. The lack of moisture inside the garage meant there was much less concern over mold in the garage and even less concern over warped woodworking. Aaron reported in our follow-up that he was pleasantly surprised at how much lower his heating and air costs were after the Duramax PVC panels improved the insulation in his garage. This was a result of removing the previous gaps in his walls and ceiling with vinyl panels, which increased the heat and cold retention of the entire home.
