When Adrian saw an announcement in the newspaper that his local county dog shelter was going to close, he knew that he had to take action. Having been a life-long animal rights advocate, Adrian knew that there needed to be at least one shelter in the country.
He contacted the individual via the phone number listed in the newspaper article and set about looking into taking over the shelter or even buying it outright altogether. He learned the shelter was closing due to a lack of government-subsidized funds and that the current owners could not burden the cost.
After a few more calls and setting up a viewing of the location, Adrian purchased the shelter and the land it sat on. Over the years, the shelter had fallen into extreme disrepair, again due to the lack of the necessary funding needed. Adrian's next step was to get the shelter back in shape and ready for its new occupants.
When he was younger, Adrian had worked in construction, so he knew a thing or two about code and remodeling. However, he wasn't as up-to-date on what was available on the market that might fit his needs for the kennels.
He went online and instantly hit upon Duramax vinyl panels. Adrian was very intrigued by the Duramax products and what they might offer him. He found that the panels were constructed of durable Polyvinyl Chloride, or PVC, which not only were easy to clean but would hold up to the rough treatment that the occupants were sure to dish out.
The panels, according to Duramax, were constructed so that as quick spraying down would do in most cases. With their smooth surface and interlocking edges, Duramax also created the panels to be impervious to moisture. This feature would ensure that Adrian would not have to worry about any form of bacteria, viruses, or mold developing in the kennels.
Adrian also learned that the vinyl panels were ½ inch thick, which made them somewhat lightweight. This allowed one person to be able to install the panels over the course of a few days or a weekend. He thought he might be able to cut costs significantly by enlisting the aid of some of his buddies and doing the installation himself.
What made the installation even easier was that there was no special prepping or construction needed for installation. The panels would attach to the already existing substrate and studding of the kennel walls. Again, this would allow Adrian to save quite a bit of money on the installation that he could use somewhere else in the shelter.
After looking into their competitors, Adrian felt that Duramax vinyl panels would be the best solution for his needs when it was all said and done. With their resistance to moisture and tough construction, he was sure the dogs would love their new kennels.
