Baseboard heaters may be installed in rooms with Duramax PVC Panels, but they must not be mounted directly against the panel surface. You must maintain a minimum clearance of 24 inches from radiant heat sources. Electric baseboard heaters often exceed the maximum safe continuous operating temperature for vinyl (120°F / 49°C), which can cause the panels to warp, discolor, or deform. If the 24-inch minimum clearance cannot be maintained, a fire-rated barrier or heat shield must be installed behind the heating unit. Additionally, any mounting hardware must anchor through the PVC panel directly into underlying studs using oversized clearance holes to allow the panel to expand and contract naturally. Please note that damage resulting from direct heat exposure is not covered under the product warranty.
